Oregon’s Bellotti resigns
From the Associated Press wires: Oregon athletic director Mike Bellotti is stepping down after less than a year in the position to become a college football analyst with ESPN. Bellotti was head coach of the Ducks for 14 seasons before he formally took over as athletic director last July. His resignation is effective April 5 and he’ll make his debut on ESPN on April 17. Here's something to consider when you're debating what schools might be invited to join the Pac-10 should the conference decide to expand. The Florida Gators are having some problems on the defensive line -- particularly with their five-star recruits. Over the weekend, freshman defensive tackle Gary Brown was arrested on two misdemeanor battery charges. An arrest report said Brown was not a good guest at a party.
