Remember just a few weeks ago when Texas was ranked No. 1 in the nation?
Since then, the Longhorns have dropped four of six, including Saturday’s 80-71 loss to rival Oklahoma.
This was a team many folks already had penciled into their Final Four. Big, strong lineup with depth.
Now, it’s a lineup with lots of holes lately. The ‘Horns’ guard play has been spotty, their free-throw shooting suspect (10-for-27 against the Sooners) and their big men up front have been struggling.
Still, I wouldn’t bet against the ‘Horns too often. In fact, I’m betting they’ll fix some of their problems starting about Monday, when they play host to No. 1 Kansas.
I like Texas in that one.
